FAQ

  • Is there really going to be a House of Night movie?

YES! The first film adaptation in an anticipated franchise is in the works as mother-daughter duo P.C. and Kristin Cast’s House of Night is set to come to the big screen.

Directed by Rain Li (Beijing, New York), casting for the film is currently underway. Victor Hadida (Resident Evil, Silent Hill, The Crow) and Molly Hassell (The Return to Silent Hill, Terminal, The Crow) are producing.

P.C. Cast said: “I’ve been working closely with Molly and Rain to bring this film to fruition, and could not be more proud of the work they have done in respecting our universe. Our fans have been waiting many years to see their beloved characters and their journeys come to the screen, and we are beyond excited at what they will see.”

  • How can I audition for the House of Night movie?

Thank you so much for your interest in being part of the House of Night movie!

At this time, all casting is being handled through professional agencies, so the best way to be considered for a role is to have your agent reach out through the appropriate casting channels.

  • Do you have any writing advice?

If you want to be a professional author you need to approach the career like you would any other job. RESEARCH THE WRITING PROFESSION. You can begin by reading: Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott, How To Get Happily Published by Judith Appelbaum, The Writers Market, and The Agents Market. Ignore the romanticized idea that says being an author is something magical and mystical – that you lay around, waiting for your Muse to whisper in your ear, or for your dreams to coalesce, and then you’re simply the vessel through which all the stories flow. Ugh. Being an author is a job. Writing is work. Period.
